In order to ensure the continuance of Artcite's efforts to provide a showcase for experimental visual art, music, film, video, writing and performance, we are urging you to help by becoming a member.

Your Artcite membership entitles you to reduced admissions to special Artcite events (like our recent presentation of recording artist/ composer/ inventor 'Eugene Chadbourne') and you'll receive all mailings -- exhibition announcements, events calendars, and Artcite's irregular members' newsletter. Artcite members also enjoy unlimited access to our art/artist resource centre with its up-to-the minute information concerning issues of censorship, copyright law, artists' rights and performance contracts, national employment and exhibition opportunities, grants available and memberships in professional organizations.

As a member, you also have access to our library of contemporary arts catalogues, periodicals, artists' slides and videos -- keep up with the latest art practices and issues with "Mix', "Canadian Art", "C", "Blackflash", "Flash Art", "RE: Search", "High Performance" and more...

Your Artcite membership and participation in our Film & Video Committee (affiliated with Windsor's 'House of Toast' Film & Video Collective) also provides access to our audio-visual equipment bank (VHS, super-8 and 3/4" formats), editing suites and Macintosh workstations (by appointment).

Voting members can exercise their franchise at all members' general meetings and programme reviews. Artcite's Board of Directors is elected from the membership. As an active voting member, you will have a voice in determining Artcite's goals.

 

A variety of equipment and resources are also available to Artcite Inc. members:

- computer workstations/ internet access
- publications/ magazines from mainstream galleries to artist-run centres
- Artcite's affiliation with 'House of Toast' (Windsor's Film & Video Collective) provides further opportunity in equipment & consultations to local film/video artists
